Vegan BBQ & 4th of July Outfit.

On certain holidays I really miss the east coast and family traditions. When I was a kid we used to go to Cape Cod every summer - I loved spending the entire day at the beach with family and watching fireworks at night from our patio, while drinking lemonade, and eating s'mores. Now Mario and I are making our own traditions and it's nice - but I can't help but wish that we were able to travel to Massachusetts whenever I start to feel nostalgic. It would be great to be able to share family traditions with him. It is hard sometimes living all the way across the country.

Here is the outfit that Lyddie of Chic on the Cheap styled. I love it - it really was the perfect laid back, yet cute - outfit for the Fourth.

The jacket is from Anthro, the top is from the always lovely Le Train Bleu, the shoes are vintage, and the shorts are F21 from years ago.

This is what we made for our Vegan BBQ.

Nectarine and plum tufu skwers in rosemary thyme basic garic olive oil marinade Vegan bbq Watermelon Mojitos Vegan Blackberry BBQ sauce

Grilled nectarine, plum, and tofu skewers with thyme-basil-rosemary garlic marinade, veggie burgers with blackberry bbq sauce (so amazing!) and watermelon mojitos.
