The Talented Mr. Ripley

Last Night we watched The Talented Mr. Ripley, and I can't get the wardrobe out of my head. I am hoping to find items that will allow me to dress like a 1950's American Man of leisure whiling away the days in Italy... Slacks,Cuban shirts, wayfarer sunglasses, blazers, sailing whites, and of course Italian loafers.

As captured perfectly in this photo by the Sartorialist. I could only hope to ever look so pulled together!

So of course I went 'window' shopping on Etsy late last night, and saved all these photos to my desktop, and now I can't link them. Sadly, these shoes were too big for me, but aren't they great?

Just add Wayfarers, geometric print scarf, antique gold rings and you're ready to go.

  1. I'm interested to see how you go with this!

  2. Never seen the movie but you've piqued my interest with the pics now!

  3. I love the fashion in that movie too - it all seems so effortless! and OMG I have been looking for the perfect white loafers forever and TOTALLY just bought those Coach ones from Etsy! I usually wear an 8 but I'm hoping to make them work!!
