Sabato! Food for Fashion

Italia! So one of my favorite bloggers, Chic on the Cheap, is off to Italy - I am really excited for her, and I can't wait to see any pictures she might share. I haven't made it to Italy yet, but as Mario is Italian - I hope we get to go visit soon. In any case, since I can't go off to Italy just yet, that doesn't mean I can't eat some yummy Italian food. I adapted a recipe for an eggplant dish to make it vegan.

Here is what it looked like:

What I wore.

Not very exciting I know, but really, this sun rain rain sun rain rain sun rain- thing that the weather is doing has got to stop. Today we went out to the farmer's market and we just made it down our street before I had to run back home and change - The wind picked up and it began to drizzle. It got too cold to be out in just a dress and oxfords- I had to add the sweater, tights, and on top of that a coat. Geez.

As for the thrift store outing, I was able to sell some things at the shop - and though I didn't find any of the things on my thrift list, the extra change bought us some yummy treats at the Mariposa Bakery. Delicious! And when we got home I found that the new APC catalogue was waiting for me in the mail. Oh! and I placed an order for the new Lula, so I am expecting that in mail soon as well.

I hope that you've all had a great Sabato!
