Babycakes NYC - LA!!!

I am back! It was a bit hard ( like several cups of coffee and a few slaps to the forehead, hard) to get back to work today. The trip to LA was short, but was such a great time. Really, with the flight being both faster (only 1 hour by plane-where it's almost 8 hours driving, at least for my granny driver-self) and cheaper than shelling out the gas money to drive there- I may do it more often.

I flew down Friday and Friday night my sister and I the time spent chatting away and watching Daria.

Saturday morning we headed down to get breakfast at Babycakes NYC in downtown LA. Yeay! Gluten-free Vegan cupcakes! I kept my eyes peeled for all the landmarks shot in 500 Days of Summer.

My sister got the red-velvet, I got the banana blueberry - They were amazing! So worth the trip downtown.

While we drove around the downtown area I took a few photos from the car- yes, through the windshield. They looked pretty awful until I made them black & white...

After our breakfast of cupcakes and iced coffees, we headed off to do some vintage shopping in Echo Park and Silverlake - and oh my gosh the vintage! But, more on that later. Tonight I'm off to spend time with the hubs and then hunkering down to catch up on emails and blog reading!
