Los Angeles Part Three- Mohawk General Store and onto Melrose Ave.

After spending hours at Lemon Frog Shop we headed over to a non-vintage boutique the Mohawk General Store, so named because it is located on Mohawk street- and no there are no Cigar-box Indian statues a-la-Seinfeld located outside. The shop itself is very simple - it has an understated design element, as do most of the items they carry- all beautiful and well-made, like Rachel Comey, Repetto, and Cynthia Vincent.

I manged to find an item I have been looking for, for quite sometime - a soft jersey striped mini dress- and it was on sale. Even better!

By this time in our day most shops in the area were closing so we headed off to Melrose to a shop I've been dying to go to - Creatures of Comfort.

They were having a huge sale on some of my favorite designers, A.P.C., Rachel Comey, Alexander Wang.

But of course my size was sold out in all of the items that I wanted to try on. It's okay though I still love you Creatures of Comfort and I'll be back- I'm sure of it!

We then stopped into the Kid Robot store. I love this place. Cool Japanese toys, what's not to love?

I did break my 1 item rule here (kinda) I bought a gift for Mario and then, this...

Cat Holga Camera! CANNOT wait to use it!

For fun, here is what I wore to work today. (Sorry for the horrid pictures)

  1. I adore your entire work outfit! THIS is the kind of thing I should put together for teaching.

Your trip to LA sounds like such fun. There is an overnight train from Albuquerque to Los Angeles--- I think it would be fun to get a sleeper car and make the journey.

  2. The blouse is beautiful! The fact that they make a cat Holga is pretty funny!
