PORTLAND

Let the mini-vacations begin. Summer is here, and so is the time for sundresses, bbqs, picnics, trips to the beach, and time for well deserved vacations. While we can't take too much time off work, the hubs and I have plans to go off on short weekend trips around California, and then we are going on a road trip to Portland, Oregon in early August. We booked the hotel downtown and have mapped out our route. We will drive up the coast, to see Haystack Rock, the sand dunes, and to spend a few days at the beach, then we will have a few days to explore Portland before driving back through the center of the state and stopping by to see Crater Lake.

I'm looking forward to this so much! I hope you all have for summer adventures ahead.

  1. I hope your summer comes! It's dreadful to be left in the cold when all you want to do is put on a sundress.

Portland (what I've seen of it from flickr photos anyway) seems absolutely gorgeous!

  2. oooh, fun, Portland! I really really want to go, but I'm not sure I ever will. Dave is vetoing anything on the west coast of the US (I also really really want to go to SF) because of the flight times. I can kind of see his point. It's difficult to justtify going all that way, when there are so many amazing cities all over Europe we haven't been to. But still, I really, really want to go! I'm sure you'll have agreat time.

p.s. I didn't manage to get your packet ready to post. I will tomororrow, promise!

  4. OMG when will you be there? I'll be there from 7/28 to 8/7. Even if we can't meet up we'll have to share trip plans.
