It's always fun finding gems hidden in dusty record shops, and flea markets - some of my favorites are Fats Domino, The Spencer Davis Group, and the Shangri-Las. Seriously you can't help but dance around the living room when listening to these
The Shangri-Las, were tough talking, gum chewing Queens NY ladies with oodles of 60's style.
The Spencer Davis Group - When Steve Winwood belts it out and plays guitar - genius! Are you hip?
Fats Domino- great to listen to while cooking up dinner- why yes I dance from fridge to stove.
Now onto the fashion. Today's outfit is brought to you by 60's colors and the Shangri-las.
Top is from J. Crew, Skirt thrifted, Shoes Target, Bow is from a tie belt taken from a dress, Sunnies are Cheap Monday
I love everything about this post! Especially this outfit.
ReplyDeleteLove your skirt! It looks so much like the liberty of London for target designs.
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to hear when someone isn't afraid to dance - what's the point in being self-conscious when it's getting in the way of a good time?
Two thinks I love, old music and a shirt with a bow! I have so many boxes of records my Dad has given me. Don’t have a record player yet but hopefully one day.
ReplyDeleteThank you all : )
ReplyDeleteI love the print on your skirt, wow!
ReplyDeleteI used to collect vinyl myself, but stopped when I kept moving around so much, I didn't want to keep lugging them around with me (havent collected much house stuff in a while for this same reason!)
Farrr out brussel sprout that outfit is blinkin uber-rad. I love love the skirt! You're lookin very cute and smiley too! Also as a side note, I also majored in English Lit at university!
ReplyDeleteVinyl is the best. And so are your outfits!
ReplyDeleteWell, hello! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, saying hi, and leaving links to these fantastic music videos - you were right, I like them a lot! I'm just starting to get into the Shangri-Las, they're so much fun. I definitely have to look into the Spencer Davis Group a little more, too. I think I'm gonna have to follow your blog, 'cuz you seem fun.
ReplyDeleteOh, and congratulations on your recent marriage! <3
