Summer is almost here?

Here it is the first of September, and we are finally getting summer weather in the Bay Area. I'm anxious to pull out all the sundresses that went unworn over the 'summer' months. It is a bit counter-intuitive to be pulling out summer outfits when every blog I read has turned their focus to fall weather fashions.

Here is what I wore to work. I don't wear stockings which I guess isn't good form to do in office settings - but I'm pretty much anti socks and tights - unless the weather is really cold.

From my closet: Top- Betsey Johnson, via Etsy (I had to sew on some new buttons), Skirt- Anthro, Shoes- Target, Sunglasses- vintage.

  1. I have the same anti-sock/tights stance for as long as I can get away with it weather-wise. Black and white is always a great combination, and you're wearing it very well. I especially love the detailing on the blouse.

  2. LOVE this. The blouse is gorgeous & the cut of your skirt is perfect.
I'm the opposite, I wear tights or leggings all year round, I feel naked without them!

  4. I need that blouse.
I'm with Porcelain complexion, I can't get enough of tights! It has to be really warm for me to show my bare legs. :)

  5. I'm with you, tights are only for when it's cold!
I'm glad to hear you are getting some summer, all those summer clothes deserve a chance!

Black and white is always so classy and perfect.

  7. Cuuuute! This outfit is so classic but charming.

I hate socks and tights unless absolutely necessary.

  8. What a cute blouse! I agree that tights are only for cold weather. Unfortunately the weather is often cold in England, so that means a lot of tights-wearing days. Even in August.
