Web Vacation

Thanksgiving was awesome - I really hope that you all had a good one and that you spent lots of time with family and friends. It's now back to work and today may be a hard day as I am having internet withdrawals. You see, lately I have been hogging the hubs laptop whenever I needed to use a computer since my ye olde ibook (yes, ibook) decided to finally stop working as a computer should. It is now just a cranky piece of machinery, but we have our history together- the college days - the early beginnings of blogging etc. Anyway, hubs needed to use his laptop (read the working computer we have) for a project he's working on so - I have been unable to browse the web at will, to look up the filming locations of a movie - whilst watching said movie, to catch up on blog reading - to post anything at all. So, it will be difficult now that I'm back at work to resist the draw of the interwebs- but I shall remain strong. The good news is that I am now getting a shiny new macbook! It's on it's way and should be delivered into my lil'hands within a week, but until then- my internet usage will be sporadic. But, I will try my best to keep up on blog reading.

  2. I've been at my parents using my sisters macbook and now I'm so jealous that I have then use my own kind of old sony vaio which the battery has died. I have to keep it plugged in at all times or it dies instantly. Oh the woes of old computers! but at least you're getting a new one soon hooray!

  3. Mmmmm shiny new macbook... I got mine exactly two years ago (it was a black friday purchase) and now I'm wishing I had a new one... well okay, I just want a bigger internal hard drive, otherwise, were good.

Anyway, glad you had a great holiday, and sometimes a little break from the internet can be a good thing.

  4. My Macbook is only 4 years old and it's already pretty beat up... the white just gets dingy really fast and then I killed a hornet that landed on my keyboard with a spatula, which caused the Z key to fly off and the blue color of the monitor is crazy off (I think from balancing it on my treadmill where it vibrates for like three hours a week)... guh, I'm trying to make it last another year! Maybe I just need a desktop, I'm too violent with my laptop!
