Grub. Apple Coleslaw & Strawberry Salsa. Of course we also had potato salad, grilled corn and tofu with homemade Apricot BBQ sauce.
The Strawberry Salsa was amazing.
We had our 4th of July BBQ early since we will be in Big Sur for the 4th and not able to grill up tasty veggie treats.
What I wore - I decided since so much effort went into the cooking, I should put some effort into my weekend wear as well.
Built by Wendy dress ( this one is a summer fave I've had for years) - Lizzie Fortunato necklace - UO Cardigan and Charlotte Ronson shoes.
I'm hoping that the weather keeps up and heats up. I still haven't been to the beach (at least not to swim & catch some rays). Have any of you made it to the beach this summer?

Food looks tasty, and the dress is adorable. so summery and sweet.
ReplyDeleteI've been to the beach a couple times, but really just for outfit photos, not staying more an hour. Its definitely my goal this summer to just go there as much as possible, even if it's just for a little while.

that dress is so lovely! i have a lot of old favourite summer dresses that i seem to dig out summer after summer, because summer in england is only a week long it feels like a new dress every year ;-)

ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a good summer! It's been so misrable in the UK, i feel like it's been raining every day for the past month. I am really wishing it was beach weather here :) x

i really like your blog. Following!! I hope you will check out mine!
ReplyDeleteI like how both of the things you made are spin offs using fruits! Sounds so delicious.
ReplyDeleteLast week when it got hot I rode my bike to ocean beach, but I got a crazy sunburn on strange parts of my back and the back of my knees because I think I sweated off my sunblock. I learned my lesson. Crazy to see how it's been raining now like it did today!!
I wish I could fast forward the next 4 months just so that I can attempt to re-create a strawberry salsa of my own!!
ReplyDeleteYou look super chic, as always xo
That's a lovely dress! Perfect for a picnic or barbecue!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been the beach to swim yet, but then, I don't particularly enjoy getting into the water (at least, not more than to wade). I'll probably go with my sister when she comes to visit next month, though.
